Use of Drones in Construction

GIC is among the pioneers in the use of unmanned aerial vehicles (drones) in construction. Since 2012, we have been actively involved in the development, application, and implementation of drones across various fields. These include construction site monitoring, structure inspection, thermography, photogrammetry, transport applications, and numerous market activities.

Drones represent an innovative tool that significantly enhances the efficiency and quality of construction projects. With the ability to quickly and accurately capture data, we can create three-dimensional terrain models, measure quantities, and perform advanced simulations for mixed reality applications. Using powerful data capture systems, we can precisely inspect structures, sites, and other segments during construction. A key application area is also IR thermography technology, which helps assess the adequacy of detail execution and inspect various systems, conduits, and devices.

We are not stopping at current solutions, as we continue developing and exploring new applications. The future holds a long road in innovating autonomous solutions, particularly in improving work safety, enhancing quality, and creating new business opportunities. We are confident that the use of advanced technological solutions can contribute to cost reduction, shorter project durations, and a decrease in greenhouse gas emissions. That’s why our research and development team, in collaboration with numerous experts, is constantly striving for new possibilities for broader applications in the construction industry.
